How long until my order is dispatched?
We aim to dispatch all parcels within 2-5 working days as some of our stock is held with the official UK suppliers. Helmet City have multiple warehouses full of stock so the majority of orders are despatched very quickly - for example most Sale items are in stock ready to go. For items that are on preorder please contact us for an ETA.
Which courier will my order be sent with?
Currently we use DPD for all our UK deliveries and for international deliveries we use FedEx.
How can I cancel my order?
If you would like to cancel your order with us, please do not hesitate to contact us via email to sales@helmetcity.co.uk or call us on 01959 57 22 77 and we will be able to process this as long as your items have not been dispatched already.
When will my Pre Order be dispatched?
Unfortunately we are not always provided delivery times for all pre ordered items, if you would like an ETA for your item please send an email requesting one to sales@helmetcity.co.uk with your order number one and we will let you know as soon as possible.
Can I change my delivery address on my order?
Depending on the payment method we cannot always change the delivery address. If orders are placed through Klarna, Clearpay or PayPal we are unable to change addresses due to their Buyer/Seller protection.
Orders paid via card go through a fraud screening process carried out by our 3rd party payment processor. This process checks all the details provided by the customer including their billing and delivery address. This means if you wish to change the delivery address we would need some form of identification showing the customers name and the new address. This can be anything from a Utility bill or Driving Licence. If you are unable to provide this but still wish to change the address we would need to refund the order so you can replace it with the new address.
How do I use my gift voucher?
To use your Helmet City gift voucher please proceed to your basket on our website, just underneath your items in your basket there is a space labeled “apply gift card code”. Please enter your unique gift card code here for this to apply to your order.

How do I return my order for a refund or exchange?
To return an order back to us we will require you to raise an RMA. For a guide on how to raise an RMA please follow the link provided below: https://www.helmetcity.co.uk/returns-policy. For address in the UK mainland we are able to offer a £4 DPD return label which a link will be provided for when your RMA is approved, for address outside the UK mainland unfortunately you will need to use a courier of your choice to return the items back to us.
When purchasing my DPD return label online the shipping address shows my address. Is this correct?
Yes, the shipping address is used to locate the closest DPD pick up store, if you were to use the returns address this will show you the closest to where the parcel is being returned.
The helmet I ordered does not fit me, can I order the other size then return both if neither fits?
Yes, as long as the helmet has not been used, and all visor films and tags are attached you can return both helmet at the same time. Just make sure that RMA Numbers are raised for both items.
How long does it take received my refund?
Once your item(s) have been inspected by our warehouse staff, your refund will be issues and can take up to 1-5 working days for the banks to clear the funds back into your account.
How do I know what size helmet will fit me?
Unfortunately it is very hard to advise fitment of a helmet over the internet and we can only offer a suggestion of how a helmet will fit, for a rough size guide please follow the link provided below:

What if my item(s) don’t fit?
No problem! As long as the item has not been used and you have all the tags and original packaging, you can return it to us and we'll swap it for your alternative size (if available). If we don't have your new size in stock, you can either select an alternative product (and we'll either refund or charge you the difference) or you can have a full refund.
Which countries do you ship to?
Currently we are shipping to America, Canada, Australia, Northern Ireland, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey and the UK.
How much is postage/customs costs?
For UK mainland address on orders under £25 there is a £4 delivery charge, while on orders above £25 we provide free delivery. For and address to Guernsey, Isle of Man and Jersey if your order is below £150 there is a £14 delivery charge other wise the delivery is free. On orders to international the charges are as follows USA - £65, Canada - £55 and Australia - £100. Please contact your country's custom office to check if you are liable to incur importation charges.
Will my helmet be safe when shipping to my address?
We package all our helmets with protective packaging when shipping to you, if you do receive your helmet and are worried that there are damages please do not hesitate to contact us via email to sales@helmetcity.co.uk.
Can I track my order?
Once your order has been dispatched this will be automatically updates to complete, from here you will receive an email from the appropriate courier company containing the tracking information for your parcel.
What happens if I am not in to receive my parcel?
If you will not be home to receive your parcel, you will be able to download the corresponding app to the courier used (DPD for example) and request your parcel to be delivered on a different day.
My order arrived damaged or something is missing, what should I do?
Helmet City must be notified by emailing sales@helmetcity.co.uk of any errors, missing items or damage within 48hrs of delivery.

I've forgotten my password or registered email, what do I do?

Do I need an account to shop on HelmetCity.co.uk?
Creating an account with Helmet City will offer you to gain points to go towards your next purchase, however, you can also Checkout as a Guest if you do not wish to log in.
How do I earn points?
Earn HC Loyalty Points with every purchase at Helmet City. You'll even earn 100 HC Points just for creating an account!
What are HC Loyalty points worth?
With each order you place on our website you will automatically earn Helmet City points to use on a future order. To redeem these points please proceed to you basket ad at your top right of the page you will be able to apply your points to your order. HC Points are worth a £1 discount for every 100 points you redeem. Some Examples :

Is it easy to see how many points I'll earn?
Each product has the number of HC Points you will get clearly displayed on it's page.
Is there a minimum spend when I redeem my HC Points?
No, you can redeem HC Points against any purchase through www.helmetcity.co.uk. Any leftover HC Points will remain in your account.
How do I know how many points I have?
You can go to your account and see how many points you have under the “my Reward Points” tab.
I need to change/cancel my eBay order, how do I do this?
To make adjustments or to cancel eBay orders you will need to contact HelmetCity directly through eBay’s messaging system, from there the eBay team will aim to respond to you within 48 working hours. If you phone or email the HelmetCity Website team, unfortunately we will not be able to provide assistance.
Why is my eBay order being sent to a UK address, not my delivery address? (Non UK Orders)
The eBay Helmet City company do not ship directly to every country which is why it needs to go to the UK GSP (Global Shipping Program) address first. They operate as a fulfillment center who deal with all shipping and import costs, so the Helmet City eBay team ship your order to them, and GSP will then ship it to you.
You will receive two tracking numbers with your order, the first being the tracking from their warehouse to GSP the fulfillment center. The second, is the tracking number from GSP to the end destination, in this case, to your address.
My pinlock has started fogging. What can I do?
We are sorry to hear your Pinlock has started to fog up. This normally happens due to a few reasons it could be that the Pinlock needs adjustment and by turning the Pinlock pins on your visor can sort this. Otherwise it could be that your helmet is not receiving enough airflow, for more information please send us an email to Sales@helmetcity.co.uk and we will get back to you as soon as possible. My helmet doesn’t have an ECE sticker on the back. Does this mean it is not road legal?
Not all helmets will have a sticker on the shell to show it is road legal. Regulation ECE 22 requires every motorcycle helmet to bear a sticker sewn into or onto the retention system (aka: ‘the chinstrap’). This sticker shows the homologation mark, the homologation number, and the production serial number.
My helmet doesn't have an ACU gold sticker, is it OK?
As the ACU gold sticker is only used for track riding in the UK, and is applied by hand when the UK importer brings the helmet to the UK, not all ACU approved helmets will come with a gold sticker. If you would like to use your helmet on track and receive a helmet without an ACU sticker please contact us so we can get one for you.
My helmet seems loud. Is if faulty?
Noise is a very subjective issue and impossible to analyse outside a wind tunnel. For example, a noise one customer finds loud may be perfectly adequate for someone else. Although some brands quote noise levels, these are based on figures in an acoustic wind tunnel in ideal conditions. These levels are not 'silent', they are 'generally' quieter than other helmets in the same conditions. The simple fact that the helmet is in fast moving air, being buffetted by wind from the front, wind from the bike screen, wind deflected from the riders body, means that noise is created.
All manufacturers recommend ear plugs.
There are lots of factors that can affect noise in a motorcycle helmet : -
- the size and fit of the helmet on the head - must be a nice snug fit
- the type of bike you ride
- whether a screen is fitted to the bike
- the size and design of screen can also have a big effect
- size of the rider - both height and width
- type of helmet
- one helmet may be affected by a screen on one bike, but not on another
plus many more......
In the first instance we ask you to consider the above and if your bike has a screen please try and move out from behind the screen or alter your position and see if this helps. Also if you're able to ride another bike please try this as well as another bike may make a difference as well.
